The original Moonlighter was already great on handheld (it launched on Switch for a reason), and the sequel takes that dungeon-crawling-by-day, shop-keeping-by-night loop and cranks it up. The gameplay splits naturally into short chunks: do a dungeon run, haul back loot, price it up in your shop, invest in upgrades, repeat. That rhythm is perfect for portable play. Digital Sun went out of their way to optimise for the Deck specifically, saying they wanted to “go beyond Valve’s checklist” for Steam Deck support. It shows.
