Cuphead
Cuphead is a classic run and gun action game heavily focused on boss battles. Inspired by cartoons of the 1930s, the visuals and audio are painstakingly created with the same techniques of the era, i.e. traditional hand drawn cel animation, watercolor backgrounds, and original jazz recordings.

The hand-drawn 1930s animation pops on the OLED screen in a way that feels genuinely cinematic, and playing with a proper controller instead of a keyboard makes the tight dodge-and-shoot mechanics feel much more natural. Every boss is a self-contained five-minute attempt, so you can chip away at that one nightmare fight you’re stuck on without committing to a long session. And local co-op works great if you want to share the pain with someone who will also blame you for every death.
