Monster Sanctuary
Monster taming meets metroidvania. Collect, train and battle monsters in a lovely side-scroller pixel world.
Why on Deck
Monster Sanctuary takes the creature-collecting formula and mashes it with metroidvania exploration, and the result is way more compelling than it has any right to be. You explore a pixel art side-scrolling world, catch and train 111 monsters, and use their abilities both in turn-based battles and to navigate the environment. It’s the kind of game where you tell yourself “one more area” and suddenly it’s 2am. The pixel art is clean and readable on the Deck, the turn-based combat means no control compromises, and it has a native Linux build. If you like Pokémon and metroidvanias, this is your game.
