Why on Deck
REPLACED is 2.5D pixel art pushed to an absurd cinematic polish, and the Deck’s screen is basically the ideal canvas for it. Every hand-drawn frame of the animation shows up clean, and the dark 80s-dystopia colour palette is the exact kind of thing OLED panels were built to show off. Side-scroller combat maps so naturally to a controller that keyboard-and-mouse feels like a downgrade here. It’s one of those “just one more scene” games that eats a commute in a single sitting.
