Why on Deck
Dotemu (the people behind Streets of Rage 4 and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge) know how to make a beat ‘em up feel incredible on a controller, and Absolum is no exception. The hand-drawn art pops on the Deck’s screen, and the roguelite structure keeps runs fresh without demanding huge chunks of time. If you ever want to grab a friend for local co-op on the couch it works great there too, but solo on the Deck is where I keep coming back to it.
