Sea of Stars
Sea of Stars is a turn-based RPG inspired by the classics. It tells the story of two Children of the Solstice who will combine the powers of the sun and moon to perform Eclipse Magic, the only force capable of fending off the monstrous creations of the evil alchemist known as The Fleshmancer.
Why on Deck
Sea of Stars is the closest a modern game has come to bottling the feeling of playing a SNES RPG under the covers as a kid. And playing it on a handheld is exactly right. The pixel art is gorgeous at native resolution, the turn-based combat has active timing mechanics to keep tired fingers engaged, and the autosave means you can drop it the second you need to. One of those games that genuinely feels like it was waiting for this kind of hardware.
