9 Kings is a fast-paced kingdom-builder where you draft cards, place units on a tiny grid, and watch armies of stick-figures clash, and it’s the kind of game I keep coming back to between bigger sessions. Runs are short, the visual style is so minimalist that it’s readable at any size, and the point-and-click pace means you can play it one-handed in bed with the trackpad doing all the work. Suspend between rounds is perfect, lose a battle, put the Deck down, come back tomorrow with a different king. It’s quietly become my favourite “I’ve got fifteen minutes” game.
