Why on Deck
Dishonored 2 is widely considered the peak of the immersive-sim genre, and Emily and Corvo’s abilities both translate beautifully to the Deck’s control layout. Clockwork Mansion and the Crack in the Slab levels are the kind of environmental storytelling you want to absorb slowly, and doing that slowly in bed with the Deck is perfect. The painterly art still holds up, and the Deck’s screen shows off the moody lighting really well. Fair warning: this game has a rougher relationship with the Deck than the original, but the trade-offs are worth it.
