Esoteric Ebb is a dialogue-first, dice-rolling, goblin-sidekick-having CRPG in the Disco Elysium lineage, and it is the perfect thing to curl up with on the Deck. Almost every interaction is a dialogue window, which means you can sit in bed reading and rolling and branching for hours without your hands cramping. The isometric hand-drawn art pops beautifully on the small OLED screen, and the political conspiracy pacing is exactly the kind of thing that rewards multiple short sessions (“just one more encounter, I want to see what this cleric says”). Controller support is first-class too, so don’t feel like you’re missing anything by skipping mouse and keyboard.
