Why on Deck
Citizen Sleeper is essentially a digital tabletop RPG, and there’s something fitting about reading it on a portable device. Curled up with it feels right in a way sitting at a desk just doesn’t. The text-heavy, turn-based structure means you can pause mid-cycle without consequence, and the dice mechanics are tactile and satisfying even without physical dice in hand. The writing earns every emotional gut-punch. It’s some of the best in any game from the last several years.
