Child of Light
Aurora, a young girl from 1895 Austria, awakens on the lost fairytale continent of Lemuria. To return home she must fight against the dark creatures of the Queen of the Night, who have stolen the sun, the moon and the stars. At stake is not only Lemuria, but Aurora’s true destiny.
Why on Deck
Child of Light is a fairytale RPG with hand-drawn watercolour art, and honestly the Deck’s screen makes it look like you’re holding an illustrated storybook. The turn-based combat is perfect for handheld since there’s no twitch reflexes required, just thoughtful timing on the active-time battle system. It’s around 12 hours long, which is that sweet spot where you can finish it in a week of evening sessions. The local co-op even works if someone wants to control Igniculus the firefly while you play Aurora.
