Why on Deck
Chorus is a dogfighting-in-space story-driven shooter, and sitting with the Deck in hand feels exactly right for pretending you’re in a cockpit. Analogue sticks plus triggers for guns, bumpers for abilities, face buttons for Nara’s rites, the control layout was practically designed for a handheld. Zero-g combat reads really well on the Deck’s screen too, those dense nebula colours and ship silhouettes show off the OLED panel. Story missions run about the right length for a couch-and-blanket evening, and the dramatic cutscenes hit harder when the speakers are six inches from your face.
