Why on Deck
Neon White is the perfect “one more level” game for the Deck. Each stage takes thirty seconds to a minute, so you can chase leaderboard times during a lunch break or a bus ride. The card-based movement system (discard a gun for a dash, a stomp, a grapple) feels surprisingly natural on a controller, and the cel-shaded anime style pops on the Deck’s screen. It’s also just an absurdly satisfying game to play handheld. Something about holding the Deck while you rocket through heaven at 60 FPS feels right.
