The whole gimmick (storybook characters jumping out of their 2D pages into a 3D desk environment) works better on the Deck’s compact screen than you’d expect. It feels like peering into a toy box. Breezy, charming, not too long. Combat is light enough that you’re never sweating reaction times, which makes it a great palate cleanser between harder games. Spend a long weekend with it and it’ll leave you smiling.
